Doyle Young

Doyle Young is board-certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

He grew up in Temple, Texas, where he was an all-district pitcher on the Temple High School baseball team. After completing the B.A. and M.A. degrees in Religion from Baylor University, he earned the M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he served as a tenured faculty member for eleven years. During a successful career there, he published a book and several scholarly articles and did post-doctoral study at the University of Oxford and at Duke University.

In addition to spending ten years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Mr. Young has served in several church staff positions and currently serves as Minister for Adult Spiritual Formation at DaySpring Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

Mr. Young graduated from the Baylor University School of Law in 1996, where he was a member of the editorial board of the Baylor Law Review, the Baylor Mock Trial team that competed at the national competition sponsored by the American Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Baylor Client Counseling Team. During his law school days, Mr. Young served as an intern to U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., and won several awards, including the Ron J. Anderson Award in Law and Medicine and the Pakis, Giotes, Beard, & Page Advocacy Award. He has won numerous jury trials in both state and federal courts and prevailed on his lone appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Mr. Young is married and has two children.
