Michael A. Zimmerman
Michael was born in Houston, Texas, on November 5th, 1961. He enjoyed a multi-ethnic educational environment as he grew up. He was raised near Long Point and Silber Roads in southwest Houston. His elementary education was in San Marcos and Kyle, Texas. He finished high school at Hays Consolidated academically ranked in the top 10 percent of his class while enjoying athletics. Michael’s favorite academic studies were based in the sciences which answered his natural curiosity. His preparatory education at Baylor and Texas State Universities earned him a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. His major was in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. He finished his legal education at Texas Southern University in 1990, earning a Juris Doctorate of Law at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas on November 4, 1990, and has practiced personal injury and civil law in Central Texas since that date.
Michael is the Co-Founder and managing partner of Zimmerman, Zimmerman, Cotner, Young, and LeJeune P.C., and Zimmerman & Villarrial PLLC.
Michael Zimmerman’s parents emphasized hard work, responsibility, faith and family balance. Michael’s father Rodger M. Zimmerman is one of Texas’ best trial lawyers and is a serious asset to the firms considering his extensive trial experience. Michael’s mother, Louise Zimmerman, still manages the books at the firms. His parents both continue to be involved in the family law practices.
The law firm of Zimmerman & Zimmerman, P.C., was created in 1992 and has grown to add partners and become one of the largest personal injury law firms in Central Texas. Rodger has retired from his trial docket and is now of counsel to the firms. Michael’s entrepreneurial and successful business personality has drawn thousands of clients and many law firms and referring attorneys to entrust their cases with him and his law firms. The Zimmerman Firms are now expanding their immigration practices in the individual and corporate arenas. Their advertisements are experienced through the Web, TV, radio and print; however, they depend on the best advertising — word of mouth.

Because his childhood included being raised on a large game ranch in the hill country of Central Texas, Michael is an outdoor and sport loving Texan. Michael is most comfortable spending time with his children and family. He also enjoys sport-fishing for billfish, bow hunting, scuba-diving, snow skiing, and playing tennis. His unique, energetic and confident style is best observed when he is working and fighting for his clients.
Michael is married to his wife Vickie, and they are raising three children that range in ages from 20 to 9. Central Texas and Houston are, and always will be, home to Michael and his entire family.
